Mon Amour LLC (“Papacitos,” “Company,” “we,” or “us”) operates certain online services and proprietary software applications, including but not limited to our www.papacitosdating.com website (“Website”) and the Papacitos mobile applications available on iOS and Android (collectively, the “Papacitos Platform” or “Papacitos Platform”).

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use the Papacitos Platform and the choices you have associated with that data (“Privacy Policy”). This Privacy Policy is a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you” or “your”) and the Company. By accessing or using the Papacitos Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. Use of the Papacitos Platform is also subject to our Terms of Use, which include additional rules regarding user conduct, subscriptions, community participation, and account management. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies we do not own or control and applies solely to the Papacitos Platform and related Papacitos Platform.

We use your data to provide, operate, and improve the Papacitos Platform. By using the Papacitos Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy , which may be updated from time to time. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use.

Definitions

  • Papacitos Platform: Papacitos Platform means our online and Company software applications, including but not limited to the Company’s website at www.papacitosdating.com and the Papacitos mobile applications on iOS and Android, as well as any account management, messaging, video calling, subscription, or payment platform features offered
    therein.
  • Personal Data: Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from that data (or from other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
  • Usage Data: Usage Data is data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Papacitos Platform or from the Platform’s infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit, app session, or video chat)).
  • Cookies: Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device (computer or mobile device).
  • Data Controller: Data Controller means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your Personal Data.
  • Data Processors (or Service Providers): Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. We may use the services of various Service Providers, including Firebase, Twilio, AWS, Google Cloud, and Brevo, in order to process your data more effectively.
  • Data Subject (or User): Data Subject is any living individual who is using our Papacitos Platform and is the subject of Personal Data.

Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Papacitos Platform for you. Information collected includes data voluntarily submitted by users when creating a profile, registering an account, subscribing to a plan, engaging in chats or video calls, participating in community discussions, or submitting inquiries, as well as technical data collected automatically. Our information collection includes using cookies on a computer/handheld device and mobile app data tracking or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States or other locations where our Service Providers operate. If you reside outside the United States, your information will be transferred, processed and stored in accordance with United States privacy standards and applicable international data protection laws, including GDPR and LGPD where required. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Types of Data Collected

Information You Choose to Give Us

When you use our Papacitos Platform, we collect the information you choose to share with us, including certain personally identifiable information that can be used to set up your account and profile and contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

     • First name and last name 
     • Email address and phone number
     • Account registration information (such as username and password)
     • Gender, date of birth, and dating preferences
     • Profile bio, profile photo or photos, and any additional images or media you upload
     • Subscription plan and payment method, which are collected and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Papacitos does not store full payment details
     • Messages, matches, video call history, and community forum activity
     • Language preferences and automatic translation settings
     • Social login details when using Facebook Login, including name, email, phone number if available, and profile picture, used solely for authentication
     • Location information if enabled, to support features such as matching, safety, and in-app translation services
     • Crash reports, device type, and app diagnostics for platform optimization
     • Cookies and usage data
     • IP addresses of individuals when using the Papacitos Platform

Papacitos does not provide services to anyone under the age of 18. By using the Papacitos Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

 

We may collect certain verification data, including images or photos uploaded by you, to confirm authenticity and maintain community safety. Papacitos uses Amazon Web Services, including AWS Rekognition, to support optional facial verification and identity matching features. This information is used solely to prevent fake accounts and fraudulent activity.

 

We do not collect government-issued identification, tax information, or educational history unless explicitly requested for verification and safety purposes. Any images or profile content you upload are stored securely and processed only to provide the Papacitos Platforms.

 

Papacitos does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone who does not meet our age requirements, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe a minor has registered on our platform, please contact us immediately at support@papacitosapp.com

 

Papacitos does not control third-party venues or meeting locations suggested by users and is not responsible for the safety, permissions, or suitability of any in-person meeting spaces. Users assume all risk when deciding to meet off-platform and are encouraged to exercise caution and follow our safety guidelines.

User-Generated Content

The Papacitos Platform allows users to create profiles, upload photos, share personal information, exchange messages, participate in video calls, and post in community discussion forums. Some of this content may include Personal Data, and you should only share information you are comfortable making available to other members.

 

Optional content you submit, such as your profile bio, uploaded images, dating preferences, forum posts, or community comments, will be visible to other users according to your privacy settings within the Papacitos Platform. Papacitos may also collect and store communications you send through the Platform, including messages, video chat logs, matches, forum activity, and support requests, in order to provide core features and maintain safety standards.

 

By submitting any user-generated content, you grant Papacitos a limited, non-exclusive license to use, store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Papacitos Platform and enhancing your experience. Papacitos will not publish your private messages or other non-public communications without your explicit consent.

Community Forums and Public Content

The Papacitos Platform may include community forums, discussion spaces, or interactive features where posts, comments, or images may be visible to other users. You should carefully review your privacy settings before sharing any personal information in these spaces. Papacitos reserves the right to moderate, remove, or restrict content that violates our Terms of Use, community guidelines, or safety policies, including content that is abusive, harassing, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate. Posts in public areas of the platform may be stored and displayed to other users unless you remove them or request deletion by contacting support@papacitosapp.com.

Communication and Marketing

We may use your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. This may include service updates, feature announcements, subscription offers, community event notifications, safety tips, or promotions related to the Papacitos Platform. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send. We may use third- party tools to help deliver marketing content, but we do not sell or share your contact information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

 

Papacitos may also use automated technologies such as chatbots, SMS alerts, in-app notifications, push messages, and email reminders to support your use of the Papacitos Platform. These tools may be used to confirm matches, send subscription reminders, provide safety alerts, collect feedback, or facilitate customer support. All automated communications will comply with applicable telecommunication and consent laws. You may opt out of non-essential automated messages at any time by replying “STOP” or contacting support@papacitosapp.com.

Usage Data

We may collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Papacitos Platform or access it through a mobile device. This may include details such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, the time spent on each page, and other diagnostic data. When accessing the Papacitos mobile application, additional information may include the type of device, its unique device ID, the IP address, the mobile operating system, the type of mobile browser used, crash reports, app performance data, and other identifiers and diagnostics needed to improve platform stability and security.

Location Data

We may use and store information about your location if you give us permission to do so (“Location Data”). Location information may be collected automatically or through user input to assist with matching you to potential connections, filtering profiles by proximity, suggesting relevant community discussions, enabling language translation, and personalizing your experience on the Papacitos Platform. We use this data to provide our Papacitos Platform’s features and improve and customize our Papacitos Platform. Location data may also be used to enhance safety features, detect fraudulent activity, and support customer service inquiries related to your account or interactions. You can enable or disable location services when you use our Papacitos Platform at any time through your device settings.

Geolocation-Based Restrictions and Content Delivery:

When applicable, Papacitos may restrict certain features or content based on your location to comply with legal requirements or local regulations. This may include limiting access to specific profiles, matches, community forums, payment options, or content visibility in certain jurisdictions. These restrictions are enforced based on IP address, device settings, or user-provided information. By using our Papacitos Platform, you acknowledge that some features may be unavailable in your region due to legal, operational, or safety-related constraints.

Camera & Photos

We may request access to your device’s camera to support optional features, including uploading a profile photo, sharing additional images or media in your dating profile, participating in video calls, or verifying your identity to maintain account security and user safety. Any image data collected is used solely for its intended purpose and is processed through secure systems. Papacitos may request identity verification using facial recognition technology to help prevent fraudulent accounts, but we do not collect or store government-issued IDs unless specifically requested for verification purposes. We do not access your photo library or store any unrelated media. All camera permissions are optional and can be managed through your device settings.

Biometric Authentication

Papacitos may offer optional biometric authentication features, such as fingerprint login, Face ID, or similar technologies, to enhance account security and improve user experience. If you choose to enable these features, the biometric data used to authenticate your identity is processed locally on your device and is not stored, transmitted, or collected by Papacitos. We do not access or retain any biometric templates or related data. You may enable or disable biometric authentication at any time through your device settings.

Video Calls and Recordings

The Papacitos Platform offers optional real-time video calling features to connect with other members. Papacitos does not record or monitor video calls unless explicitly stated and will only enable recording functionality in limited circumstances, such as for safety reviews, fraud prevention, or customer support investigations. If recording is ever implemented, we will provide clear notice and obtain any legally required consent from all participants before recording begins. Any recordings, if collected, will be stored securely and used solely for internal purposes related to safety, security, or quality assurance and will not be shared publicly without your prior written consent.

Information Third Parties Provide About You

We may receive limited information from third-party service providers such as the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, payment processors, cloud hosting providers, authentication systems, translation services, analytics providers, and identity verification tools. These parties may share technical or demographic data to help us process subscription payments, manage your account, provide translation features, enable video calling, detect fraudulent activity, or improve the Papacitos Platform. If you choose to register or log in using Facebook Login, we may receive your name, email address, phone number if available, and profile picture from Facebook, which is used solely to create and authenticate your Papacitos account. Papacitos does not use peer-submitted user data or member referral systems that include personal information.

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on the Papacitos Platform and store certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser or mobile device from a website or application and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze the Papacitos Platform.

 

This includes understanding how users browse profiles, send messages, participate in video calls, interact with community forums, and manage subscription features. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of the Papacitos Platform. You may manage your cookie preferences or withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings or using tools provided on our website, including any cookie management banner or link labeled “Cookie Preferences” where applicable.

  • Session Cookies. We use Session Cookies to operate our Papacitos Platform.
  • Preference Cookies. We use Preference Cookies to remember your preferences, such as language settings, profile filters, and privacy options.
  • Security Cookies. We use Security Cookies for security purposes, including fraud detection and account protection.
  • Analytics Cookies. We use Analytics Cookies to measure platform performance, understand user engagement across profiles, matches, video calls, and community forums, and improve overall user experience.

 

Use of Data

Please note that we never sell your information to any third party.

We collect and use your Personal Data to support the core functionality of the Papacitos Platform and to enhance your experience. When you register for a Papacitos account, we use the information you provide to create your profile, manage account preferences, facilitate matches, enable chat and video features, support community forum participation, process subscription payments, and deliver personalized recommendations. The information we collect as you use the Papacitos Platform also supports features like location-based matching, real-time translation, fraud prevention, safety controls, and responsive support.

The Company may also use your data for various purposes, including, but not limited to:

     • To provide and maintain our Papacitos Platform
     • To enable personalized matching based on your preferences, activity, and profile details.
     • To facilitate subscriptions, process payments, and manage your account
     • To notify you about changes to our Papacitos Platform
     • To allow you to participate in interactive features of the Papacitos Platform, including messaging, video calls, and community forums
     • To provide customer support
     • To monitor and improve the performance of the Papacitos Platform
     • To perform analytics and gather insights into user activity, preferences, and behavior
     • To conduct marketing and promotions tailored to your preferences and subscription history
     • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity
     • To comply with legal or regulatory requirements
     • To support internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, and service improvements
     • To better understand member needs and preferences, which informs product development and future platform enhancements
     • To improve safety features, user verification processes, and community guidelines enforcement
     • To provide you with updates, personalized match notifications, safety alerts, and subscription- related information unless you opt out

 

In some cases, we may also use your data for other purposes disclosed at the time of collection
or with your explicit consent.

User Responsibility and Safety Disclaimer

Papacitos does not conduct criminal background checks, verify personal identities, or screen users for compatibility. While we provide tools such as photo verification and optional identity confirmation features, it is your responsibility to exercise caution and good judgment when interacting with other members, both online and offline.

 

Papacitos makes no representations regarding the character, intentions, or background of any user and does not guarantee the accuracy of profile information, uploaded photos, or any other content shared on the platform. If you choose to meet another member in person, you assume all associated risks and are encouraged to follow our safety guidelines, which recommend meeting in public places and notifying a friend or family member of your plans.


By using the Papacitos Platform, you acknowledge and agree that Papacitos is not responsible for verifying the personal background, criminal history, or identity of any member and is not liable for any incidents that occur as a result of member interactions.

AI-Driven Safety Monitoring and Moderation

Papacitos uses automated tools to help identify and address safety risks on the platform. These systems may analyze images, videos, text messages, and activity patterns to detect inappropriate content, harassment, scams, or potentially harmful behavior. Flagged content may be reviewed by Papacitos’ Trust and Safety team for further evaluation. Any data reviewed for moderation purposes is stored securely and retained only as long as necessary to enforce community guidelines and ensure user safety.

Retention of Data

The Company will use commercially acceptable means to retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Personal Data is retained while your account is active and may be retained for up to 24 months following the last recorded activity unless a longer period is required by law or for compliance purposes. In certain circumstances, retention may be extended to meet legal or regulatory obligations or internal compliance needs. We retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

 

If you submit a verified request to delete your account, Papacitos will permanently delete your Personal Data from active systems within 30 days, except for data required to comply with legal, regulatory, or fraud-prevention obligations. Metadata related to payments or security investigations may be retained securely for the minimum period required by applicable law.

 

Data related to subscription records, payment history, authentication, fraud detection, video calls, profile content, messages, matches, and support communications may be retained longer when required to protect users, support investigations, or respond to complaints.

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes, and such data is generally retained for a shorter period unless it is necessary to improve platform safety, optimize functionality, or comply with applicable legal requirements.

Transfer of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on servers or systems located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those from your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we may transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United States and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy, followed by your submission of such information, represents your agreement to that transfer. The Company will use commercially acceptable means to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place, including the security of your data and other personal information. This may include transfers to our third party payment processors, authentication providers, video communication services, translation tools, cloud hosting providers, analytics partners, or support platforms, all of which are subject to strict confidentiality and data security requirements.

Business Transaction

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. Such transfers may include customer accounts, instructor relationships, usage data, and communications history. We will use commercially acceptable means to provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Disclosure for Law Enforcement

Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose its Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency, the IRS, etc.). This may include account identifiers, transaction records, or communications related to instructor services if relevant to a lawful investigation.

Legal Requirements

Papacitos may disclose your Personal Data in good faith when such disclosure is reasonably believed to be necessary for any of the following purposes:
• To comply with a legal obligation or regulatory requirement
• To protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of Papacitos, its personnel, or its users
• To investigate or prevent potential misconduct in connection with the Papacitos Platform
• To respond to reported incidents involving users, profiles, messages, video calls, or community forum activity
• To safeguard the personal safety of users or the general public
• To defend against legal claims or reduce potential liability

Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, these measures may include encryption, firewalls, secure server hosting, multi-factor authentication, access controls, and regular security assessments. Payment information and other sensitive data are processed through third party providers, including app store payment systems and subscription processors, that maintain their own industry-standard security protocols. We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Automated Fraud and Bot Detection

Papacitos uses automated systems to detect suspicious activity, spam accounts, bots, and fraudulent behavior. These systems may review data such as device identifiers, login patterns, payment metadata, and account interactions to prevent abuse and protect platform integrity. When suspicious activity is detected, Papacitos may temporarily restrict account access, require additional verification, or escalate the matter for manual review. Data flagged during fraud detection is retained only as long as necessary to investigate and resolve potential security concerns.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

We do not support Do Not Track (“DNT”). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting your web browser’s Preferences or Settings page. In addition to the rights, as explained in this Privacy Policy, California residents who provide Personal Information (as defined in the statute) to obtain products or services for personal, family, or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year, information about the Personal Information we shared, if any, with other businesses for marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of Personal Information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared such personal information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in the current year will receive information about the prior year). Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Papacitos Platform (“Service Providers”), to provide the Papacitos Platform on our behalf, to perform Papacitos Platform-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Papacitos Platform is used. This may include payment processors, authentication providers, video communication services, translation tools, cloud hosting platforms, email providers, marketing partners, or analytics services. These third parties may only have access to some of your basic Personal Data to perform these specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Analytics and Customer Relationship Management

We use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Papacitos Platform and manage customer interactions, including but not limited to:

• Firebase
Firebase, by Google, is our primary analytics and authentication platform. It helps us manage user sign-ups and logins, analyze behavior across our mobile app, and measure engagement trends. • Google Analytics

Third-Party Mapping and Geolocation Services

Papacitos uses Google Maps APIs to support profile location features, enable language localization, and assist with user search results based on geographic preferences. These APIs are subject to Google’s Terms of Service, available at https://developers.google.com/maps/terms.

Video and Communication Services

Machine Translation Services

Papacitos uses Google Cloud Translate to provide automated translation of messages, profiles, and community discussions between users who speak different languages. More info at: https://cloud.google.com/translate/terms

AI-Powered Features and Recommendations

Papacitos uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance the user experience, including providing personalized match suggestions, automatic translation of profiles and messages, and detection of fraudulent or suspicious activity. These systems may analyze data such as your profile information, activity history, preferences, and interactions with other users to improve recommendations and platform safety. Papacitos does not rely solely on automated decisions; you always retain control over your choices and may adjust your profile preferences, translation settings, and privacy controls at any time within the app.

Payments

We may provide paid services within the platform. In such cases, we use third-party services for secure payment processing. Stick Shift Skills does not collect or store your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors, whose use of your personal information is governed by their respective privacy policies. These payment processors comply with the standards set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), which is managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment data. When applicable, our payment processors may also collect certain metadata related to transaction timestamps, device identifiers, or IP addresses for fraud prevention and audit purposes.

Links to Other Sites

Our Papacitos Platform may contain links to other sites that we do not operate. If you click on a third- party link, you will be directed to that third-party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services. When applicable, certain links may redirect you to authentication providers, video call services, translation tools, email communication services, or payment processors integrated into the Papacitos Platform. These services may collect and process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and may use tracking technologies or cookies independently of Papacitos’ control.

Children’s Privacy

Our Papacitos Platform does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have specific rights under applicable privacy laws, including international, federal, and state privacy regulations. These rights may include:

  • The right to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • The right to request information about how your personal information is used.

These may include the right to: (i) request a copy of your Personal Data; (ii) correct, update, or delete your data; (iii) object to processing or request restrictions on how your data is used; (iv) request data portability in a structured, commonly used format; and (v) lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Papacitos will respond in accordance with applicable data protection laws and may require verification of your identity before processing your request.

Do Not Sell or Share Personal Information

Papacitos does not sell or share your personal information in exchange for monetary value. We do not participate in targeted advertising networks that involve selling user data. However, under certain state or international privacy laws, some disclosures of personal information for personalized content or marketing purposes may be considered a “sale” or “share.” If you wish to opt out of such uses, please contact us at support@papacitosapp.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.”
